Their chance was when his contract was being renewed and the BOR slobbered all over him and gave him a raise. They screwed up. And I've had the displeasure of dealing with this dude on a personal level.

Question. Who was responsible for hiring Woodward in the first place? Wouldn't Sharp have something to do with that? I'm trying to figure out if everyone really agrees that Sharp is bad or just a handful of Texags keyboard cowboys.

Technically Sharp is not an Aggie in that he didn't graduate from A&M but I tend to agree with all your other points. There is so much complaining about him and I have never seen a legitimate example of why he is not doing a good job and there are many that demonstrate that he is doing a great job.

Well, if that is the reason, jumping into a swamp with the gator known as F. King Alexander isn't an improvement in work place harmony. A thorn in your butt is less painful that dealing with a gator everyday.

ETA: The last time Woodward was at LSU, Mark Emmert was his boss. Huge difference.
