Les Miles did pick a good time to move to Kansas, though. If Mangino could build a Kansas team that was decent, Miles can post-Snyder, in my view.

I work with some KState grads. They have been ready for Snyder to retire for a while now.
Be careful what you wish for- good chance kstate drops even farther than Nebraska in absense of Snyder.
Only recruiting advantage of ksu is proximity to lot of juco football. But it's not the easy goldmine to recruit, like it used to be.

Some coordnators should never attempt to be a head coach. In my opinion, Brent Venables is one of them.

Not sure why Littrel has interest. That's a tough spot to recruit and following a legend is never easy. Having to deal with both? I agree he should look to get out of UNT but returns an experienced team. Try to win that conference and parlay it into a better job.

Wont matter to TexAgs, unless he banged a chubby trainer.
Mr Vanier, Vanier Athletic Complex, is the largest donor there and adament in this. His endowment means a lot to the University. This would not be good for the University and Venables knows that. You can see that even through his statements about Kansas State's coaching search when the public thought he would be a good hire last year. I just dont see KState risking this. Now, Jack Vanier is up in age, so this could change possibly after he is gone.
Seth Litrell has been on campus and I suspect could be the hire they take.

This. Have heard the same from my K-St colleagues, there's a snowballs chance in hell that Venables gets the KSU job.
