The running back roster seems thinner than usual. The departure of Keith Ford leaves us only with Trayveon as a proven running back with significant playtime.

Is Kendall Bussey still on the team? He is not listed on the Spring 2018 roster.

Sorry but what the frick are you talking about? With incoming instant impact freshmen, this has been the deepest we have been at the the RB position in years if not ever.

I doubt they ever give the ball to Gillespia other than goal line situations. Maybe 3rd and 1 or 4th and inches, but that's about it.

Kibodi was a three star and has only appeared in four games for 119 yards.

Bussey was a three star, had limited action last season, and may not even be on the team anymore as he is not listed on the Spring 2018 roster.

Etwi only played in two games for 77 yards last season.

As for the 2018 class, we signed one four star APB in Corbin and two three star backs in Prince and Strong.

Therefore, we only have two 4-star running backs on our roster right now.

How exactly does this make us the "deepest at running back that we've ever been"? How long have you been following Aggie football?

I think this is a position where true freshmen have a chance to make an impact, probably depends on how well they pick up other aspects like pass protection.

Jashaun Corbin looks like the most all-around.

Vernon Jackson is intriguing simply because there's no one else like him on the roster (6'3" 240 guy who can run). If he reports in shape it'll be interesting to see what he can do.

I'm thinking it will be a freshman.

If I had to pick I would say Corbin but don't count Strong or Jackson out.

I think Kibodi gets the 2nd most carries, because he's the big guy we'll use for a change of pace, and in short yardage.

I think Vernon Jackson reported around 225#, he lost some weight before he got on campus.

He gives us 3-4* RB

Williams, Kibodi, Bussey, Strong, Jackson, Corbin and you could even count Etwi because he has played a lot over the last few years as a walkon. We have only had 2 serviceable backs (some years 3) for as far back as I can remember, all the way back to the early 90s. 4 or more of these guys will play this year. To say we are thin is pretty ignorant. Where we are thin is at linebacker. That is where the concern should be for everyone, not RB.

That kid is massive too. Talk about a short yardage back.

Vernon Jackson will break out of the pack and be a force . . . just a gut feeling.

Anthony Toney, Roger Vick, Keith Woodside....we were so loaded at RB in the late 80's we moved Rod Bernstine to TE where he was a 1st round pick.

You've got a couple 3-down type backs in Trayveon and Kibodi, an APB in Corbin, and a bruiser in Jackson. Maybe none of them will be all-world but that's some good balance.

I think Trayveon is really good and am excited to see how Jimbo uses him. I thought he used Dalvin Cook perfectly at FSU. The other guys have potential and I hope they reach it.

Trayveon was special when Knight was at 100%. TW actually makes me lean 60/40 towards Mond being the starter at QB, even though Starkel has a much better/proven arm, since Mond operates similar to Knight.

The ball. I didn't understand why he didn't get more game reps and perhaps that was why?

Surprised to hear Bussey is gone. He was reliable even though not flashy.

Pretty sure they'll find some viable options provided they get the oL clicking .

Corbin sounds to me like Trayveon 2.0 and as such might be a candidate for a redshirt......not sure that would happen but a possibility since we still have Etwi waiting in the wings.
