Texas has played Alabama in two Cotton Bowls, one Orange Bowl, one Sugar Bowl, and the NC game. Lots of history there.

Not really, when you consider that A&M had a more recent home and home with them in the 80s, prior to joining the SEC.

tu has more history with UCLA and Notre Dame than they do Alabama.

We have family in SA, so I would need a little more info, because off the top I don't recall her name.

But hey!... Texas vs. Alabama is a blueblood love fest. It doesn't help us in anyway and we need to go after their girlfriend the PAC-14!

+GIG'EM!!

We play Bama every year.

A lot of time from now until then, so I'll be curious how the landscape changes.

Wonder who will be the Head Coach at Texas when that series comes around. With that said, can we schedule USC or Notre Dame or something.

A&M does have Notre Dame scheduled for a home-away series in 2024-2025.

Here's link to our schedules thru 2025 (as of Oct.2017):

Makes me so angry that they are playing our rival.

But we don't have the right to tell the horns to stay away from our rivals.

The interwebs are saying you were approached about 22-23 but y'all turned them down. According to the link you only have 9 games so far for those years. Why didn't y'all accept the offer (if true)?

The interwebs are full of morons running their mouth on things they don't know a damn thing about.

From Herman and the Horns' own 247 site a few days ago:

Quote:

While the Razorbacks have returned to Austin twice since shifting conferences, the Aggies don't figure to be back in Austin for a football game until at least 2028 given the non-conference schedule the Longhorns have put together.
Quote:

With one blockbuster game on the non-conference schedule for the next decade, Herman said it's challenging but not impossible to get Texas A&M back to on the schedule for those wondering how long the gap between the 2011 contest (won by Texas, 27-25 at Kyle Field) and the next meeting between the former conference rivals will be.

When we left we kept the Thanksgiving weekend open for the UT game. The Horns told us their schedule was full. Their position does not seem to have changed. They consider their non-conference schedule to be full through 2028. Straight from their coach's mouth.

1. Max Engel had an article in the FWST yesterday about this Bama-UT@Austin series. Seems the athletic department is going to force horn folks to buy season packages and not just a filler ticket between Tulsa and Baylor (or whoever the backside game is).

2. Not sure why Bama wants another two more * on their record with the Horns. The horned fans will give more excuses to why they should be victorious and were cheated in the process.
