Bear retired in 1982. Stallings had a very good run from 90-96. Saban was hired in 2012. Every Coach in between put up with same crap you listed with the exception of Facebook for some of those years.

If I recall correctly even Stallings had to put up with some of that crap for a while.

We are top tier in facilities, salaries and revenue. It comes down to making the right hire. With 55 underclassmen on the roster I think we will have interest from some very good coaches.

OP, top tier coaches are a different breed. They can tune a lot of things out for $5,000,000 yearly. Especially if they truly enjoy coaching!

Whether you like it or not because of your BAS, we are at are most attractive point in the history of Texas Aggie football to hire the right guy. A lot of factors involved though with the way contacts and buyouts have gone.

I live in corpus/ port aransas depending on hurricanes.

I love it here. The water calls to me. I fish twice a week, every week.

However, the ONLY other place I'd live is college station.

The kids are awesome. Polite. Clean, safe town.
Good people. The residents are all centered around Aggie everything.

Driving home you can see the baseball score. Did I mention it's safe , polite people and the residents will put a good coach on a pedestal that can't be reached

Houston is close. Anything you want is there

Honestly, why would you not live there?

1. In the middle of a great recruiting area
2. Big salary
3. Demonstrated patience by decision makers ... perhaps to a fault
4. Top 5 facilities and stadium
5. Best possible conference affiliation
6. Top notch financial and fan support
7) Good environment for raising a family
8) enough talent on campus now to make quick
Incremental improvement

I could list more but I think the point is made.

I have to add this point... if you think this fan base turns on a coach quickly you have never been anywhere else. It's exactly the opposite.
