In physics, modified Newtonian dynamics (MOND) is a theory that proposes a modification of Newton's laws to account for observed properties of galaxies.

The theory's original motivation was to explain that the velocities of stars in galaxies were observed to be larger than expected based on Newtonian mechanics.

Even if you're going to try the modified Newtonian dynamics thing, it doesn't make sense to use Newt as the nickname.
  • Newton is being modified
  • Nobody calls Newton Newt
  • Newt is more reminiscent of the former Speaker of the House, which is not a good link, regardless of your politics
If you're going in this direction for a nickname, Kellen "dark matter" Mond would make more sense. Or "dark energy".

But those could be problematic for other obvious reasons.
