Nope. Three pick sixes in his first game was forgiveable, but standing and watching the third run past him without even trying to stop the score was not. Good riddance.

If that was truly the goal then why not just named kyler the starter. No doubt there was a promise made about playing time, but your post is a nice consipracy theory.

Neither one of them were that good. Maybe their leaving exposed a flaw in Sumlin's coaching ability but in my opinion, we wasted too much time as it was with both of them. What you're seeing in Allen now is a 4th year player against pretty crappy defenses. While I'm not saying anyone can do what he's done so far this year, he wasn't doing that here and didn't show much in the way of improving during that time.
That's history, not theory. The way that all played out is when I first began having serious doubts about Sumlin. His QB politics are something else, and the culture around them has always been toxic to the overall team.Quote:

That is where politics becomes a problem at schools like A&M. Sumlin was in a no win situation.
I love how the Sumlin apologists never want any accountability or any change. They are totally on board with the status quo.
He promises a QB playing time before he's ever put on an Aggie uniform, but he had no choice.
Year 6 and we are still rebuilding, yet it's not his fault.
