their ugly side with rampant sexual crimes, corruption, coverups and never came clean and took responsibility for their non actions. Yet, it seems like the got a pass and get hardly any crap from the media about their lack of control of their athletic programs. I believe if they were in the Big 10 or SEC or ACC schools would have boycotted traveling to Waco to play football games. The BDF can't afford to lose Baylor and doesn't do anything. Seems like they almost got a media pass. Now Texas A&M football is all over the national media and are the bad guys and looked down upon. "What are they doing down there? " Sumlin hot seat, Regent, middle fingers and the like. We are all proud to be fans of Texas A&M and as for myself I will support Sumlin and crew for this football season and ones in the future. Probably none of us can do anything about coaching changes. The off season is time for debate and discussion on the direction of the program

The media roasted them. From newspapers to ESPN and everywhere in between. They got front page coverage for an extended time and the women coming out with allegations were spaced out enough that the fire storm blazed over and over.

Coach is fired.

Then almost all the commits left.

New coach is hired.

They are 0-3 against horrible competition and have OU this week.

It's not that no one cares...it's that the dead horse has been beaten, burned, buried, dug up, beaten, burned, and buried over and over so many times that unless something new comes into the public light, then we've probably seen just about all we're going to see.

I somewhat agree.

The conference did vote to withold 1/4 of baylor's tv money until baylor makes certain fixes. They could have done more. It is probably enough to apply pressure.

At the same time, one of the rape convictions was reversed and a new trial ordered. The judge in the first trial did not allow the jury to see text messages supposedly sent by the victim showing that she sought out sex from Uke, and that she was not a virgin on the night in question.

There were allegations in the other conviction (Tevin Elliott) that the prosecutor hid evidence. That is up on appeal. (I expect the conviction to hold up)

But the other part is that baylor is losing their azz. A bunch of the better players left the program. They got beat by a FCS program. They got beat by a CUSA program. They fell apart against Duke. The BDF will probably run a train over them this year. They are not relevant right now in the eyes of the MSM.

All the above. Baylor got WRECKED in the media and in recruiting. I don't know what you were watching or reading, but they were front page, headline news for a month... One thing after another after another. Every day it seemed something new and embarrassing came to light. A&M has been more of a humorous aside this year for their hapless flailing. A sideshow.

Baylor, everyone dogpiled that steaming heap and rolled around in it.

We are not going through anything close to what Baylor did and rightfully so. Most schools go through this same bad media PR when moving on from a HC becomes imminent. It's part of the breaking up process and is unavoidable. Hang in there!

1. No matter what conference they were in.. Opponents were not gonna boycott games in Waco. Don't be an idiot.

2. Media pass.. You have to be kidding. They got killed in the media.

You expect the media and teams to still blast them for it.. Nearly 2 years later ??
What you want media to do,?
Their program died because of this. Most Aggies won't admit to it.. But freaking Baylor has a very good thing going with Briles and untill this scandal no end in sight.
Now it's all gone.. And they are one of the worst teams in county again .. With no end in sight.

Honestly.. The end result of this scandal was probably about as harsh as it possibly could be. Especially when in reality similar things occur in other programs .. And does not even surface to the public.. Fact.

The narrative you're trying to create (which no one yet agrees with) is that the big 12 gets it light.
Yet that goes against the well-known narrative that Twxas actually controls the big 12 and does anything it can to weaken its opponents, especially those that start competing with it, which, here, was Baylor.

Texas did everything it could to make sure Baylor sucks and will suck for a long time. Or Baylor got a pass because it's in the big 12. You decide.

you sound like a baylor fan.

If similar things happen in other programs, why haven't they been discovered by the media? I think it would be a bigger story if it happened at a more visible program than the freakin baylor bears. Keep up with your conspiracy theories and remembering the good ol days with Briles and company. The fact that you still defend it with an 'everyone else is doing it too' shows why baylor is suffering now and why people think it's deserved. That school and its fans are trash.

If by other programs he means Penn State then he's not wrong...

I disagree, while sexual assaults happen at other schools and it happens by athletes what doesn't happen is the system wide cover up and suppression of police investigations that was going on at Baylor. It went beyond the athletic department protecting players. The chief of university police intentionally suppressed evidence and intentionally didn't investigate charges, they don't do that without someone above them telling them to.
That doesn't go on at other schools.

Where did you get this particular version of what happened up there...particularly since Baylor's Administration gave their former coach a letter specifically saying that this didn't happen? Baylor is run by reactionary idiots, but the reality of this scandal is that one really good football coach has taken the fall for a knee jerk reaction that involved two players, one of whom had his conviction overturned on appeal.

You have done no research or just blindly choose to not believe facts if that's what you really believe...this is why people don't feel sorry for Baylor, because their fans keep trying to excuse a guy who covered up rape

Baylor football is back where they belong

We aren't breaking up with our coach.

Chances are he wins 8 or 9 and gets an extension.
