Several points that are real, you may not like them but this is reality.
1) He will not be fired until the end of the year (maybe not at all).
2) We have no plan in place for his replacement
3) We will drag our feet under the premise of a detailed politically correct search thus missing out on the top candidates
4) We will be used by the top candidates to improve their contracts
5) We do not know what we are doing
6) Our new coach will hire a weak staff
7) Wait 5-6 years and do it again

They don't care about A&M or A&M success. They just want to hate. No point in trying to change the snowflake mentality.

I think Woodward took this job with a Plan A in place as to the possible replacement of Sumlin.

He has been networking since Day 1 knowing he had to get ahead of the on field results .

He was not going to fire Sumlin and pay him $15 million in his first year on the job. Instead he made it clear to Sumlin that 8-4 was not acceptable in 2017.

Sumlin fully understands that the political winds have shifted against him. It seems to me that by not qualifying the racist letter as an aberration in his experiences at A&M he has assumed an overt role as victim for the wags in the media.

The net result is that Woodward will be true to his verbal expectations and fire Sumlin at the end of the season for having 4 years of in-season collapses and not moving the program forward. A 4-8 record makes this an easier PR and future coach positioning . It sucks for the players and for us but Sumlin and his coordinators will walk away very well compensated and Kevin Sumlin will spend the rest of his coaching career having to answer " What happened aT A&M?"

It will be interesting to see how he answered that question with $35 million of our money in his bank.

I'm 93% certain it won't be till after LSU.
