At least freaking Kaepernck doesn't play for the 69ers anymore.
No doubt Browns DC Gregg Williams will do everything he can to get Garrett. Would really like to see Garrett in Williams aggressive system.

This is precisely why rumors like this persist. They are trying to maximize the value of the #1 spot, or SF is trying to maximize the value of the #2 spot.

Shefter is legit, but not buying it this close to the draft. If the Browns actually talk themselves out of taking Garrett, then good for him. There is no way they have a higher grade on Trubisky.

Did Schefter get fired today? If not, he's being paid to stir the pot.
Shefter is the guy that also published Sapp's opinion on Garrett. Seems like someone within the NFL (maybe within the Browns org) is using Shefter as a mouthpiece.

There is so many mixed signals out there right now. The Browns GM told Mike Silver (SI writer -- very well connected) that he has known for 2 weeks who they are taking at #1. And that the team isn't desperate to get a QB. Also said that he hasn't informed the coaching staff who the pick will be.
