This is what the Germans said, circa 1918 - 1941, then they got their rematch.

I forgot. Were the Aggies outplayed? Outcoached? Outrecruited? Or just didn't show up?

Shouldn't happen. Yet it has happened more often than expected. Need more passion in the performance. Maybe the new S&C guy will have an impact.

It means we had the ball towards the end of the game and quite possibly could have won.

Yes, A&M had the ball on the last play and I unfortunately sat in the stands and watched that cluster ....

We are 5-5 versus the all-mighty coaching force known as Bill Snyder.

The real tragedy is that we're 0-1 versus Ron Prince.

Snyder is an innovator in college football. He invented the weak non-conference schedule that almost everyone uses today. His use of the JC transfer and his disregard for his players after their playing career is unmatched by any coach.

All of you guys that seem to be in love with him because it fits your Sumlin hatred narrative need to find another poster child.

His record at Kansas St is 202-105-1. Our record for the same years is 207-100-2
Last 5 years Sumlin has a better record than he does. SEC vs big12 as well.
We need to get better a lot better. But don't act like Snyder is a great coach he is not. We would have fired him years ago. We are on our fourth coach creating the same record he has.
For all you guys that are screaming but their program was awful before him, yes that is correct. He is our Bellard, oh yea we fired him too. We got good roughly 10 years earlier than them.

They are Kansas aggies we are Texas Aggies.

To help illustrate the tough situation he took over and how he generally had the team improving as their coach in his first few years, I'll point out that 10 of his 105 losses were in his first season.

If you don't think Bill Snyder is a good coach you are simply stupid.

And like Momma always said, you just can't fix stupid.

Receiver Corey Sutton fighting Kansas State for his scholarship release

Quote:

In a phone conversation Wednesday with the Eagle, Sutton said he presented K-State with a list of 35 potential transfer destinations in early May and the school denied his release to all 35 a week later. Sutton said the list didn't contain any Big 12 schools or teams on future K-State schedules. Some were FCS and Division II. Didn't matter. K-State blocked him everywhere.

He appealed that ruling, but K-State upheld it on Wednesday.

"When I originally told Coach Snyder I was going to transfer he said, 'Well, Corey, I feel bad that you want to leave, but I can't make you stay,' " Sutton said. "I dropped all my classes, moved out of Kansas and started looking at my options, then I find out they are denying me my release.

"Coach Snyder told me today that when I signed my letter of intent that was my commitment to him, that I was going to be there for four years. I heard that and told him, 'Coaches can leave. So why can't a player leave? You made a commitment to me that you were going to treat me the right way and that's not what you're doing.' "
Bill Snyder confirms, defends decision to limit transferring WR's options

Quote:

"It's my commitment that once we have signed the youngster, that we're committed to him as long as he behaves himself. I accept a youngster that comes into our program as making a similar commitment with a handshake and obviously a signed piece of paper. I've always said a youngster is free to leave, but I'm not going to release the youngster.
Quote:

"It doesn't mean he can't go someplace else and play, he can certainly do that. He wouldn't be on athletic scholarship for a year's period of time, but could still go and play and then go on scholarship after that. That's a choice they have to make. I've told the young man, and have told him all along, we'd love for him to stay in the program. Anyways, at the end of the day, that's always been my policy, as I said. There's a lot of things being said out there, some of them that I'm not even aware of."

Ironic that the player used the argument that coaches can change jobs...he picked a bad examole...

But yet he takes in players that transfer to K-State. So as long as it helps his program, he'll turn the other way.
