I know he was a recent HS coach, hired by Strong at tu. But was he really that great of a recruiter?CjAg said:
No inside information but I don't think he has landed anywhere and he is one hell of a recruiter. It makes some sense.
Thought it was the truck he got at Covert.CjAg said:
Remember Brandon Jones? It's why he is at Texas.

Joseph was one of the few position coach's who got development out of his units.
DB play has improved a lot under him.
Turned a RB into a 3rd round draft pick as a DB who had zero experience at the position
Turned TexAgs' favorite laughing stock Devante Harris into a NFL player
Developed two of the best safeties we've had in years (and both will be top 4 round draft picks in Evans and Watts
Has done really well with the do-everything Donovan Wilson.
That's too bad. I happened to catch the terrible "studio 12 live" in the car the other day and he was being interviewed on it. I was wondering if something was up because he seemed pretty quiet when asked about spring football, and ended his interview with sort of a long diatribe about how much he loves A&M, the fans, etc.

The only issue is that Chavis is known for putting DBs into the NFL. I'm not sure who is more responsible for doing that. Plus our CBs sucked this year.
