If you really believe that, we need to get them out of the process. Tell them to take their money and pound sand. Let the university spend whatever they can by state law and make all of the decisions themselves.

Childress is a good to very good coach who has a nervous breakdown every June.
Sumlin is a thoroughly mediocre coach.
Kennedy is a legitimately bad coach who rode an incredible lucky streak to his success last year.

In regards to Childress, a lot of people said the same thing about Dabo until this year. My point being is that when you have a coach that can get you to the top every year like they both can, even then it takes a little luck to win everything.

So OP is criticizing Ags who are significantly more successful than he for not caring enough about "winning". Something in that just doesn't align.

Maybe they were more focused on being successful in an area they could control (their business) than an area they couldn't control any more than OP.

Baseball has been consistent. I know the post seaso losses can be painful, but baseball is such a weird sport. Especially at the college level. That's why the pros play 7 game series. Any team can go win one or two games. But over a real series, the best team will win

Basketball is making big moves. We lost 3 (maybe 4) starters from last years squad. That'll hurt. But we had a solid recruiting class and another one coming up. They're record has improved every year. That's a good trajectory, unlike football. This year may be down, but it's on the right track. In college, there will always be an off year. If there is no improvement next year, then maybe it's time to make a change.

Football is the only truly stagnant one. The second half collapses and the lack of fight/passion is truly disturbing from a fan perspective.

Dabo hasnt taken 10+ years to get where he is now either. Cant say the same for Childress. Our baseball program is a regional program that makea it to supers half the time and,out of the supers once every 15 years.

You aren't paying attention if you think all is well with basketball. We're bad and coaching is terrible.

I can only assume that since you say the big money boys have no idea what they are doing you think we would be better off if they quit donating. This is truly out of the box thinking.

We as donors should demand better, especially from basketball.

Very disappointed in Billy Kennedy right now, but I will save my disappointment for the basketball board.

Last year WAS the off year for Kennedy. He is a terrible coach that has been kept around because of an illness he has. He has shown us that he can have one good year out of every six so far. Dude is a bum.
