LOL. What an awful hire for them. Well, at least they won't have to worry about any programs wanting to steal their coach for awhile.

This getting to be interesting. The big programs (with money to spend) are having trouble filling coaching vacancies more often. USC last year. LSU this year and now Houston. Have to hire from within.

One in home visit. The reason programs no longer use the Head-Coach-In-Waiting regime. They were deemed to be covered by the same recruiting rules by the NCAA.

Yup. And what recruiting traction are they talking about? Herman landed ONE stud in Ed Oliver (who I'm sure regrets the hell out of that decision now) that otherwise never would have gone to houston, and the rest are 2&3 stars which is the status quo for a school like Houston.

While I agree with you, it doesn't take much for Houston to have the most talent in that conference and dominate...UH is Boise but in a major market.
