Actually, the guy before Herman spent last season coaching my kids flag football team. Good guy...just wasn't as successful as the rest. And my kids team kinda sucked too.

I meant the ADs, they've gone through several. Their hiring process probably isn't much different than any other school's, they just have fewer cooks in the kitchen I believe.

That isn't right. Mack Rhoades replaced Dave Maggard, who was fired in 2009 because some booster got pissy with him over basketball. UH is on at least their third AD since Sumlin was hired. Maggard was the AD when they hired Briles and Sumlin.

But really, it's the donors - mainly Fertitta and the president who make football decisions. Same as any other school.
