One of those 7 was coached by a guy the Zoo is melting down about tu hiring.

To be fair he took over a 1-11 SMU program, and had them at 5-7 in his second year, knocking off a #11 Houston along the way. It's really early, but that's a pretty promising start considering what he walked into and what he has to work with at SMU.

If he became the A&M football coach. Within 3 years texags would have a unhealthy hatred for him

Look up his resume. Pretty good. Great ties to high school (like briles). Has those connections.

Seriously. Look what he's doing with SMU. The only death penalty school. He has nothing there to work with. See how he does next year.

If sumlin gets stidham it won't matter. Kid will save him for years

It started back when he was a HS coach, namely when he coached Lake Travis to two undefeated seasons and had Gilbert as his QB. Many wanted Sherman to bring him in as our OC, or at least on the coaching staff on the O side. His stock only rose when he became Clemson's OC.

Morris has always been popular in Texas. Not just with Aggies but with HS coaches. He would be a beast in recruiting.

That's at SMU, which is like the Cleveland of NCAA football.

Morris was a VERY successful Texas HS coach and a VERY successful OC for Clemson.

Exactly. Jones got SMU turned around, then promptly quit giving a crap and bailed. The program was trash, but we're at the point where the death penalty is pretty irrelevant.

June Jones was an underappreciated coach.

He was a god in Hawaii.

He should of stayed there.

I see now where is back there coaching a high school team.

In Moriss' case, it was a HC job in Texas.

He probably should have waited for a better gig than SMU though.

He tried to get the Tech spot but it went to Coach Bro.
