You know, the good thing about being where we are now, i.e in the national spotlight, being mentioned all over the media, winning, etc, is exactly this:
We don't have to conform to look like everybody else to be noticed. If you're not watching what is on the field between the sidelines and goalposts, then you are in no position to call yourself an A&M football fan.

There were hundreds of other schools to pick from who have cheerleaders so why did you pick the one school that doesn't?

Reminds me of the idiots who move to Texas from blue states because of the conditions in those blue states and then want Texas to implement the same regulatory polices that cause the screwed up conditions in the states they came from.

Nothing. But they can be in the stands, not on the field. The dance team walking out with the flags has got to be one of the lamest entrances in college football.

I would rather see it revert back to just the team coming through the "boot line". But change it back to the way it was when I was there and it involved any senior, not just the Corps. Poor team hand to run the length of the field just to get through the boot line.

We already have them... just get cook to put them on the sideline or hold the flags with the dance team.

My point is it's not a big deal to already get them out there if we have them. It will also increase the hotness factor once they go sideline - infact just put them on the olds side... maybe they would actually get up and yell with me sometimes if some ladies were shaking it.

Let me just say right off the bat that I am a big fan of the USC song girls. Just not a fan of them being on our sideline unless of course we are playing USC (which would be even better). I would rather the TV cameras pan the crowd for pretty faces which they do now. They just show others as well and thats you real complaint. Back in the 80's the Corp was scattered throughout the student body not in a block. Maybe we should start with that change.

txlilagg, your response has made it pretty clear that you did not read all of my actual post (at the very least you did not read it well) as i specifically addressed putting them on the alumni sideline and i have pointed out how they are not cheerleaders in the least. They won't do cheer things, they won't do performances or displays or any of that crap. so, no, we don't already have them.

DevilD77, for ****s sake, i have specifically made it clear that they would never be on the field, just the track/sideline. I also never said I liked the current entrance. Is reading really this hard for you olds? Can we make the new TexAgs fundraiser be buying yall some damn glasses?

JGS, the main thing they show are the other team's cheerleaders, their band, some of our band, and the tired and beaten corps fish. That's not a fair - or good - representation of our school. The fan shots are limited, and they design these broadcasts to show certain elements of the game. One of those elements is 'cheerleaders', and by not having any it means they show the other team's instead.

I have come to believe these threads are started to yank traditionalist Ags chains. That being said, those who want to change what many talking heads on TV call the "greatest student body in America and greatest game day experience" are the same ones who are playing on their phones and posting JFF stories on texags while all these cute A&M babes in mini skirts and boots or short shorts and boots climb to the 2nd and 3rd decks ALONE or in groups of other females, then after the game, same scenario.

OwlAgdad- nice point, there is plenty of eye candy for those at the game.

In an effort to deemphasize the Corp lets trot some twirlers out there with band or better yet let them sit in front of the band for those important 2-3 sec TV shots.

Also advocate of boot line beind dumb - I was in it. Only cool bootline was at half-time when only boots could go, not 2500+ students claiming to be seniors.

I find it funny people opposed to having our own cheerleaders on the sideline. The end result is the tv cameras just show the opposing teams cheerleaders more than they'd normally would. Nice work.
