For wearing black uniforms? I don't get that at all. We don't do it every game. We aren't Texas' ***** anymore like they will always be. If we were going to recruit like them, wouldn't sumlin only go after 3* recruits? Our stadium and facilities are better. I don't get it. Please explain this idiotic thought for me cause I'm clearly missing the logic.

I think a few folks are alarmed at looking similar to Tech, at first glance anyway.

We're not. We had black uniforms for one game. Chill teh eff out.

I don't think they mean we are TRYING to look like Tech but that the black uniforms incidentally look like Tech.

I disagree with that sentiment. Plenty of teams have played in all black. Plus, Tech has that super weak font on their uniforms.

I don't see the resemblance at all. We wore black but they looked nothing like Tech's uniform.

If anything, Tech is the one that copied us this week by using the Texas outline on their logo.

Notre Dame is the only program with a long history of winning that ever messes with their uniforms, and thats only the green shirts once a game- because it ties in with the Irish theme.

The black uniforms dont tie in with anything they are just new and not improved!

Ohio State and Michigan have had more gimmick days than us. LSU has created all kinds of helmet/jersey combos.

Even Texas went retro the last time we played them.

If we are not Texas Tech, than lets get rid of that crappy beveled T.

We've used gray as one of our colors for years. If they had been dark gray, it would've been a lot more paletable, and we still would've looked like A&M.

As it is, we have tech's unis, tech's offense, and tech's old QB. We should just merge the two schools and take some of their best players.

Just kidding, I don't really care. Just win, Ags.

I don't think it's about gimmeky, it's about giving the players a spark of "New Hotness". The players knew about the icy whites MSU was bringing out and saw that we were going chessboard on them.

Looking good translates to feeling good which translates to performing great. Even if our normal uniforms are great, a new flashiness can inspire the players on a rare occasion.

Sorry... But you're VERY wrong lol... Almost every one of those schools have "messed" with their uniforms in one way or another. Especially the Nike Schools you posted. I don't think my post count is high enough... But I'll provide some links.

Tennessee definitely had black uniforms that they've worn before...


Norte Dame not messing with their uniforms besides the green jersey? Both Michigan and Norte Dame got new unis for the "Under the Lights" game last year... And new unis this year too




LSU has had at least two different pro combat uniforms that I can remember. White Helmets, Gold Helmets... Tiger Stripes in the numbers. Eye of the Tiger gloves...



OU had Pro Combat with alterations... Including a white helmet


tOSU has had a few Pro Combat uniforms as well



Even Bama messed around and had a Pro Combat uniform with houndstooth pattern on the numbers lol... So relax man... A lot of schools get creative with their unis every once in a while
