ACUs for the first few weeks has happened the past few years...apparently its too much to ask for a fish to dress themself during FOW

It has something to do not knowing how many will drop, and ACUs are easier and cheaper than getting all their uniforms just so a certain amount drop afterward. That is what I was told by a corps man a few semester ago. Not sure how factual it is, since I am not in the corps.

I give up, I am a CT '98 but I don't know what an ACU is.

They all get their uniforms like the 2nd day of FOW, there is no excuse not to wear them other than old army being dead.

ACUs are the army combat uniform which replaced BDUs

Is ACUs, BDUs, DVDs, BVDs, or whatever, the same as fatigues? I deduce that is what you are talking about? Thanks CPA, I am getting a tired head with all these acronyms.

In the day, the week we played SMwho, Fish were required to take bottle caps, flatten them out, take coat hangers, cut and bend to fit, and make a set of makeshift spurs out of them and wear them all week. See bottlecap alley at Northgate.

At least that is what we did in the Stone Age.

We did bottle cap spurs against tech in the 99-03 years. Not sure if they do that anymore

They still do fish spurs for the week leading up to the tech game every year.

We chose Tech because SMU went by the wayside when the SWC broke up.

If I were a decisionmaker now, with the SEC move, I'd choose Arkansas. Old SWC foe.

I thought it had something to do with horses?

The class of '09 made their spurs for the last time we played SMU, and it was the 2nd week of the season, 3 weeks after classes began.

I guess first week is just too much.
