Also the old PERSCOM patch I believe. That organization doesn't exist anymore, but is the father of HRC. They used to control everything that had to do with training also. Drill Sergeants used to wear that patch until they took on different patches based on where they are assigned.

Edit: hard to tell, but the regimental insignia on his garrison cap (the politically correct name for it, haha) looks like a snake wrapped around a sword, so most likely he was in a medical unit of some sort.
