This Saturday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day and marks the 99th anniversary of the END of WWI - "The Great War". Rollo Insurance and the Museum of the American GI have partnered to present the current WWI exhibit.

Pinky Wilson '20 wrote the Aggie War Hymn in a trench during WWI. His Aggie Ring and the actual paper he wrote the War Hymn on in 1918 are on-display at the museum.

Aggie mom Jane Metz is a professional artist who was commissioned to capture the moment of Pinky Wilson's life-changing moment. The print "Hullabaloo" is a must-have for every former student and is an innovative Christmas present for the Aggies in your life. It's $125 and available for purchase online.

The Museum of the American GI is a true national "gem" situated in Aggieland. Its sole purpose is for preservation of history and teaching the past, present, and future generations about the 200+ year history of the United States Armed Forces. The museum possesses hundreds of fascinating pieces of living history. (i.e. Fully restored, fully operational military equipment ranging from WWII field artillery, to Sherman tanks, to Vietnam era tanks/boats/helicopter). You can see much of this equipment in-action on Living History Weekend, March 24-25.
