Like others, I had always heard that it an attack by a Teasip, and that had he crashed by the railroad tracks. I had always assumed that the plane had crashed at the tracks while inbound from Austin; Interesting to find out now that it had actually broken up over Duncan Field, with the momentum carrying the fuselage westward out over the tracks.
