I have several spots along my lats / rib cage that feel swollen and painful to the touch. I can identify specific spots along my sides that are irritated. Anyone have a suggestion for how to get healed or calmed down?

I lift very regularly but did a different routine last week. It involved a lot of pushups.

Best thing I've found is a good massage gun. I have a Thergun myself, and it's been worth every penny. Depending how bad they are, it may be pretty painful at first, but should ease up in a few days to a week. I will say that it's harder to use on my back (without help). A Theracane can help with hard to reach spots on your back.
