Howdy,

Just started running again and was on a run yesterday, about mile 3 my foot started to go numb. Only think I could think of was my sock was a little tight.

Could anything else cause this?

what part of the foot? the whole thing?

could be your laces.

Ankle down, I retied my laces. It was when I was running that it started aching. Stopped, and then when I restarted it came back. Walked home after that and it was still a little numb

ETA: I just looked up some anatomy. Right below the Talus part

google "lydiard lacing method."

no guarantee it is your laces, but its something easy to try.

Just started running again....that is the indicator.....my guess is your not stretching and rolling your muscles enough. Those are getting tight and when they do, wierd things happen. Knees start to hurt, ankles, calves etc get tight.....but often what gets tight isnt what is hurting. Most of my issues are from tight hips / butt even down in my calves and feet.

So i think tightness all the way up to your butt is causing it.
