Hey its all good now. I went 0-6 and managed to snag a spot in their virtual marathon this past year. Granted it sucked running 26.2 on the streets of Plano/trails of Oak Point by myself, but it qualified me to automatically run next year so I'll take it. Just excited to get a chance to do it.

This also probably means that the 2020 race is gonna somehow get canceled or have the craziest weather in its history (outside of the hurricane).

Plus its the 50th Anniversary so hopefully it'll be over the top this year

I would, but I've got Chicago a few weeks before.

Good luck to everyone! NYC is an amazing race. My second favorite marathon, behind Boston.

Maybe one day I'll go do it again, if I ever get motivated to go back to roads.

Going to be putting in for it again this year. I am 1-1. Last time was also an election year so...fingers crossed....

Definitely want to do NYC again but will have to wait until after Berlin (this fall) and Chicago (next fall). I liked it better than Boston but only by the slightest margin.

If Boston wasn't on a historically crappy weather day - it would be better

That's how I feel about Chicago, but I ran it two years in a row, which happened to be the two hottest on record.

I had perfect weather when I ran Boston. My wife got the insanely hot year in Boston.

In all seriousness, they are already full for non-NYRR time qualifiers...

ETA: I wasn't trying to enter with a time qualification. Just surprised it's already full with their stringent time standards

A coworker told me he got on at 11 to register for his automatic time qualifier. By the time he got through to the site, an hourish, they were leeway sold out.

Its gonna be a rough one today. NYRR reported 185000 entries into the lottery and apparently are only picking 4200. 2%.

Apparently guaranteed entries were up 20%. Would love to know how there were 46000 guaranteed entries.

I'm ready, I can take it.

Be sure to watch your credit card websites closely! That's how I found out. I saw the precharge on my amex app long before I got an email from NYRR.

Not sure if that is final, but that isn't fun.

I saw the rejection notice on my dash board too.

I'm a dad of 2 still working through physical therapy school, and I had no idea how'd I'd pay for it if I got accepted. So, I'm not sure if I should be bummed or relieved.

They stated on twitter that drawing is done and emails are sent.
