Does anyone have any experience with the surgical correction for "high kneecaps" and chronic patella dislocations? I've fought my kneecap dislocating since puberty and the orthos finally pinpointed the Patella Alta condition as the most likely culprit (not sure how it took like 15 years, 5 different doctors and about 100 xrays) along with the lasting effects of my club foot correction as a baby.

I assume you have tried conservative treatment?

Tried different PTs since I was about 12. Recently they pointed the fact my kneecaps can skip their groove due to being too high.

Look like a Knee Osteotomy is in the cards to straighten my lower leg. Any experience with recovery?

No. But good luck. That sounds like a long recovery.
