I'm looking for advice from anyone who has gone through a similar experience.

My dad is 60+, overweight, and in poor shape. Over the years he has developed a limp, and as of lately he can barely walk. He is hard headed an has not wanted to face the issue, but now he has no other choice.

He saw a local family doctor, who sent him to a PT, but now is time for a specialist. Local doctor said it was bulging disk and basically arthritis in the hip.

Do any of you have a recommendation on an orthopedic surgeon or faced a similar issue? He probably needs a hip replacement and maybe back surgery, but I'm not a doctor.

We are willing to travel across the country for the best specialist.

Thanks!
