All of the runners on here run for roughly the same reasons to some degree: fitness, weight control, stress relief, meditation, social interaction, etc. I'm curious what alternative motives you man have. In one word, what is your unconventional reason for running?

I'm sure I share mine with at least some of you: beer.

Food is the easy 1-word answer to it.

I can think of a few others but hard to summarize into 1 word. I run to stay fit (weighed 235 lbs in college and don't want to get back there), spend time with friends, and continually push myself to new PRs.
