I'm going to sign up for the Cowtown Marathon soon and I've only run the half there in 2011. How is the marathon course? (Hilly, crowd support, good aid stations, etc)

I've not run it either, but pretty sure you've seen the first half of it. I'm guessing the back half is relatively flat down the river and back.

Some hills around 18-20 and then in the last mile when you are leaving the river. Not a whole lot of crowd support on the back half. Couple house parties, but it can be sparse sometimes. Aid stations are good though

I ran it in 2016 for my first.

No hills really to note, hilly, but nothing like mile 9.

The road near the Colonial has a crown in the middle and they don't shut off traffic very well. Lots of people leaving their houses, etc.

After the Colonial, almost no support at all going through the park. Bikes, strollers, etc.

Wangus is right, Aid stations are great and nicely spaced.

I really can't compare it to others, but I enjoyed it. I'm doing the half and probably not for time if you want a pacer.
