I take aminos while working out and that has helped a ton.

I've started using a 2:1:1 bcaa during workouts followed by a 1/2 scoop of whey protein and creatine inn 8 oz of chocolate milk afterwards. So far it seems to help. I'm also thinking about adding L-glutamine post work out.

Water. Lots of water. And don't go sit at a desk for 4-5 hours after you workout.

If you're talking about the 24-48 hour "delayed onset muscle soreness" or DOMS, there is a lot of research into it and basically you can't escape it.

Glutamine and BCAA's can aid in the process. Your best bet is going to be to stretch and foam roll at the end of your workout and eat plenty of carbs/proteins throughout the day to give your body the nutrients it needs to rebuild and recover.oh and plenty of water.

Water, carbs, and sleep. No amount of legal supplements or protein powder will get rid of DOMS, and if you're not sleeping, forget about it entirely. I came to this realization by doing the opposite. Only sleeping 3-4 hours a night. Cutting carbs. Loading up on protein. Worst I've ever felt. Soreness to the max. Drink more water, eat an appropriate amount and well timed carbs, and get 6-8 hours sleep, and it will do more for recovery than anything

I think you have a lot of really good suggestions above. Try a few out and see what works best. Not everything is one size fits all. Personally, I use some combination of stretching, foam rolling, sauna (occasionally), and then re-fueling with food, water, and getting plenty of sleep. I like BCAA's and they have helped me in the past but I don't use them all the time. Good luck on your journey.

Also right now with my mileage volume plus the heat, I've started using Pedialyte to rehydrate after some of my runs.

I always end my workouts with 10-15 minutes in the sauna. Hated it at first but now I love it.

OP is lacking information. What sort of workout are you talking about? Also it's important to know the difference between soreness and pain. Soreness will go away with time, pain is an indication you are doing something wrong.

I think I'd pass out from the heat. And the sauna at LA fitness is a dark room. Not really excited about sitting in a hot dark with with other guys ...
