I just ran my first half-marathon and I am happy with my time for now. However, if I lose concentration my right foot has a natural tendency to cant at a 45 degree angle out. I know this caused alot of strain on my foot and calf and I am sure it slows me down. How do I correct this?

You have weak legs and core. Strengthen with weight training, core work (not just abs), and hill repeats. I would try to do 2-3 days of structured strength work a week for a few months before I continued running long distance.
