I've read a bit about it by simply googling but I wanted to see if anyone else experienced this and if they had any recommendations to minimize it.

Due to my work schedule, I workout for about an hour each night starting at 7:30 and usually go to bed around 11:30. Frequently I've been waking up in the middle of the night DRENCHED in sweat! I sleep in boxers only with the room temp below 75 degrees with a ceiling fan so it's not like it's hot in the room. Before, I thought it was from a pre workout drink but I no longer take those and it's still occurring.

I've always had a warm body temp while sleeping even when I wasn't working out as much but this sucks. I don't feel hot but I'm soaked from head to toes!

I don't work out at night. Sleep with thermostat at 70. Still wake up during the night with a damp pillow and sheets behind my knees.

Just wrote it off to this time of year with more heat and humidity.

I have this fairly regularly with similar room conditions you described. It happens regardless of workouts, eating habits, even time of year. I've always attributed it to a high metabolic rate. Guess some of us are exothermic sleepers.

I usually hang out for about another 15 min to stretch & cool down. Then I head home to eat & watch tv till I shower right before bed. I do hot showers...more relaxing.

I have to sleep cold, if I drink a lot of alcohol I will sweat no matter how cold. I have always had a "fast metabolism" so always thought it was that but the more I find out about my family it may be more linked to hyperthyroidism.

Not a big guy. 5'8" 178 lbs, pretty fit. I workout 5-6 days a week.

I've been having this issue lately. Last night I opened the vent in my room (it was partly closed), pulled out my heavy blanket just in case, and turned the AC down to 67. I slept quite well.

Coffee is only AM. I do have a bit of an energy drink after work so I can get ready to workout but that's usually just a small amount. I've really amped up working out so at the moment I'm really attributing it to that.

KidDoc - Looking over that list, I don't think it's any of that. I don't do drugs, don't drink too much and my blood work came back at normal levels.

I get them sometimes as well. No real frequency to it as far as I can tell.
