I did the JMT back several years ago. Probably my favorite thru-hike that I've ever done. Looks like you had way better weather than I did and that snow change is awesome!

A jmt thru-hike is definitely in my future. Did you go before or after "The Devil's Windstorm" in the Red's/Mammoth area in 2011? I'm just curious if you got to see that stretch before all those trees were blown down. 'Twas a bit creepy

Went in 2010. Used Red Meadows as one of our resupply points. I haven't been back so never have seen first hand how bad the tree-fall was. I just try to imagine what the Rockies look like in the summer after some of the avalanches knock everything over.
