Selling a 12' utility trailer in TX. Making sure I have everything correct: Provide Bill of Sale, Remove Plates and that's it?

Does it have a title? If it does, you would also need to fill out the 130-u form

ETA: Looking at the form, would the buyer be responsible for it?

I like to make sure the buyer signs the title at the time of purchase.

They will have to fill out the form 130 when they go to the tax office.

Yes, the buyer will need your signature on the 130u and on the title.

You might let them know you are keeping the plates. I never leave the plates on either, but people don't always understand that. Its easy to explain, but I had a guy show up to buy a $3000 truck from me and he was pretty upset that I had removed the plates. Too bad.

They will have the 130u, a signed over title, and a bill of sale if they are super worried about getting the trailer home legally.
