Looking at used (2017-20) midsize SUVs at a price point around 25k. The QX60 has been something my wife has always liked the looks of, and I see a lot of affordability in my budget for these. But of course I've heard horror stories of the dreaded CTVs so figured I'd ask here.

How bad are these transmissions?

Considering most of these are leases and not probably cared for, I'd say no.

Nissan/Jatco cvts are some of the worst, from I've been told by two shop owners.

We drove a 2009 Rogue to 90000, a 2013 Murano to 130000, and currently have a 2019 Murano with 110000. Have never had a single problem or even a check engine light between all 3 vehicles. If taken care of, Nissans are extremely reliable.

My son took my 2017 QX-50 to college. I bought it new, and it now has about 90k miles.

Aside from a few minor electrical gremlins, we've had zero issues with the car. Nothing with the transmission at all.

Hope I'm not jinxing us by posting this!

Considering these cars were French Renault ... buying one would be like building a Maginot Line..

My wife has a 2019 Kicks, and so far it's been ok. I changed the oil last about 2 weeks ago.
