Need new tires for my 2021 Tundra. I drive off road a few times per month at our land. Haven't got stuck before and try to avoid driving too much when its muddy. There are a bunch of thorn bushes out that I try to avoid. Never had a flat from them. Most of my driving is city/ highway in CS.

Discount suggested these 2 tires. Any thoughts?

Goodyear Wrangler Ultra Terrain AT Goodyear
Pathfinder AT Pathfinder

Pathfinder seems to have better reviews on Discount. Leaning that way now

I dunno, I've always gone with Michelin Defender LTX/MS or MS2's on all trucks. Mostly paved road - occasionally through the yard or off road at the dear lease. Never had any issues.

Another vote for Toyo if looking for the all-terrain look.

Went with the A/T II from Ko2's and I'll go with Toyos again on my 18 Tundra

I'm currently on Michelin Defender LTX/MS2s for my 2014 SR5 TRD Tundra Crewmax. Fantastic tire in terms of performance, noise, and reliability. I drive >90% on-road/highway, with occasional forest/dirt roads, and I've pulled several travel trailers throughout Texas and bordering states. It's time for replacement (dry rot due to age, not excessive wear, BTW), and I recently considered a more aggressive all-terrain, mostly for the looks. After thoroughly researching, I'm convinced the best tire for my use is the Michelin Defender LTX/MS2, and that's what I'll be buying. They certainly ain't sexy, but they're rated so highly for a reason. I'm sticking with stock size 275/65R18 with an XL load rating, and avoiding larger LT tires due to increased weight and ride harshness. Just MHO, YMMV. (FWIW - If I were going with an all-terrain instead, I'd probably choose the Toyo Open Country AT III.)

I am on my third set of Cooper Discoverer ATP's. They have been good for me both on the highway and out at the farm.

I'll just vote against the ultraterrains, i have about 40k on a set on my suburban and while they have worn like iron and do great in every offroad condition I've had them in (rock/snow/sand/mud), they are very loud for an a/t and one of them has never balanced right. This is a "discount tire exclusive" tire which I'll never buy again because i assume that means they get built to price over quality, because wrangler duratracs are an awesome tire (just expensive)

Pathfinder AT and HT are both Hankooks and decent tires.

My last few tire purchases. Nitto's have been the best wearing out of the list. Coopers were good as well just had the Nitto's in stock when I went in to buy. Did notice the coopers didn't stay balanced toward the end of life, which accelerated the demise. That said I still got nearly 50k out of them, just was balancing every oil change from ~35k on.

x3 NItto Ridge Grappler
x2 Cooper AT3
x1 MIckey Thompson Baja Boss (Cooper owned)
x1 Hankook AT's

all treated me well over the years on various F150, F250, F350, Suburban, Expeditions. Not noticably loud and all have balanced well and worn well.

You definitely get what you pay for with tires.

Pretty good list here ^.

I've run Cooper ST Maxx (great tire for several years but didn't have the size I wanted when I wanted bigger) and now Mickey Thompson Baja Boss. They're quiet on road but aggressive and perform great offroad.

Nitto's are well liked too, but I haven't run them myself.

I'm also current running the MT baja boss. I've got probably 30k miles on them and they are wearing great. Big thing is to have to be consistent with rotations and balances every 5-7k miles

Of those two, I'd choose the Pathfinders. I'd choose most anything else over Goodyear these days.

Cooper ATPs are a also good and decently priced at Discount.

Fun fact.

Goodyear owns Coopers. Mickey Thompson is the flagship cooper line, so somewhere high end of the goodyear line up. Soon as goodyear took over, my last set of Cooper AT3's started wearing funny. Mickey Thompson seemed to be Ok and untouched.

Nitto is owned by Toyo.

I've run the pathfinders on our expedition before and they did well.

I've been happy w/ the Michelin LTX M/S2 on my Tundra. Previously used Yokohama for several years and was happy with those.
