Haven't run the diesel enough to know. The 8.1 gets 11mpg empty, can drop as low as 7-8 pulling an RV hard. Even less going fast or in wind or hills.

Diesel is supposed to be 14-17 empty, and not much lower when towing.

Maybe a diesel guy can let us know.

I have an 06 with 265k miles. I consistently get 16-17 mpg empty. Mostly highway.

Selling the gasser today, will be getting $14,750 for it.

Paid $13,000 for it in 2016, when it had 58,000 miles. Now has 99,800
