Looking to buy a car to drive exclusively for work so fuel economy and reliability are my two primary concerns. I've been looking at Camrys and Accords but I dont know anything about cars so I wanted to see what the folks here have to say. TIA

Yes. Either of those two.
I'm partial to Toyota, but only because we've loved our other cars from them.

Kia Sorento averages 30 MPG and has decent leg and headroom and I like the ergonomics of radio, cruise and other controls.

Yeah I've had two tundras so camry was my lean but I didn't want to overlook something.

Accords are more fun if you like to occasionally whip around corners. Camrys don't have turbos so maybe a slight reliability advantage. Can't go wrong with either.

I test drove a Subaru Legacy recently, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it.

I'm driving a 19 Fusion Hybrid Titanium for work.

Reasonably roomy and drives decent.

I like the adaptive cruise with stop and go and lane keep etc.

Have a White 13 Jetta Sportswagen TDI for sale. 85k miles and warranty due to dieselgate until 125k miles, I think.

Android Auto, Apple Carplay, push button start, keyless entry, heated seats. $9k. Couple scratches on the outside, but in pretty good shape.

I test drove a '16 on my search and the wind noise was unbearable. Liked it otherwise.

Ended up going with a '13 Lexus 300h.

Hyundai Elantra or Sonata. In my opinion more bang for your buck and more comfortable than Toyota.
5yr/60K bumper to Bumper and 10yr/100K Drivetrain plus 3 yrs maintenance.

Why are you jumping out of it?

If you buy used, the drivetrain is only 5yr/60k.

I looked at the outback, but didn't think it had enough storage room.

Yes. Only having 2 rows of seating before the storage.
Wound up getting a used CX-9 and keeping the 3rd row folded.
Still tight, but I will have to make it work.

Agree about the Sonata being a worthy option. Seriously considered a CPO.

I've posted this before but Mazda also a good bang for the buck option. Mazda3 is a great commuter car and 3-4-year-old cars are reasonably priced, (at least they were a few years ago.)

I didn't see he was looking for used. CPO goes back to 5/60 and 10/100.

Civic with a manual. 42 mpg and reliable as hell.

Or, a Toyota.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

I have a dark horse candidate, how about a used Ford Fiesta Hatchback? I may know a "friend" looking to sell theirs. Definitely not my car. No... Wonderful car though! Just great!

Still leaning towards camry. Seems to be more in the used market. Work hasn't had a chance to pick up so I'm not in a rush.
