Was out and about this afternoon and saw this near the front driver strut assembly, pulled on it and felt it give. Drive home, open the hood, and find this guy loose. Can't tell where it originates or where it's supposed to go.

Everything running fine and normal. 2013 Ecoboost

Breather ! Are you 4wd? Could be for the front axle.

Eta. The axle and trans both terminate by the brake booster.
