Looking at a 2017 XT5 for my wife. Anyone have any strong opinions about these? I don't see any major reliability problems from a quick google search. It would be a 4 or 5 year vehicle. Not looking to get 200,000 miles out of it or anything.

I haven't. Is it that bad?

Is it a spruced up Enclave, Acadia?

You'd really buy a 3 to 4 year old used GM crossover?

Lexus RX350 and the Acura MDX (meh) would be much better options in that segment.

No. My wife has the 2017 XT5 and they added analog buttons back with that year so it works just fine. In contrast, my 2016 Cadillac has the full haptic CUE system which is what most folks hate. They learned from that and scrapped it.

It's a C1XX platform, so basically an Acadia/Blazer.

There's lots of better choices out there.

Well alrighty then. I will move on. She just really liked the appearance of them. Thanks for the input.

I agree with Dill-Ag above.

You want something that will last 200K, there are lots of better choices out there.

Whats your price range?

I actually worked on a Lincoln MKX last weekend with 173K miles.

Don't really have a set price range. We are just looking at options that work for us. We have two boys that play tons of sports so the SUV size works well with all their stuff. We don't need a minivan or a giant Tahoe or anything. She currently drives and Explorer and it's been great. Just considering something newer.

You don't need a Tahoe ever.

But you need a minivan.

Had one as long term rental. It's fine.

Happy wife, happy life.
