$100k tahoe good god GMC is doubling down on boomers.

Prices haven't been released but... new denalis today are 80+k. The AT4 will have to be 90.

Looks like they're going the wrong way as far as pricing is concerned.

Geez, they're getting to into S-Class territory. Only relevant because the average buyer will use these off-road just as frequently.

With those prices my paid for 2015 looks better every time I see it.

Just stretch the loan out. How long will loans get before people realize the stupidity of their decision? I think 8 is becoming more and more common 10, 12 years not far off?

They'll never realize it. Then they'll add $5-$10k worth of rims, tires, and a lift all on their maxed out credit cards.

AT4s in Sierras are less than Denalis. I would expect the same for Yukons.

Touche, Toyota's are pretty awful, too.

Yeah Denali is the highest line, I bet it tops out in the mid-80s or low 90s. The new Escalade will surely top 100 (if they don't already).

I would expect the at4 to be 70ish msrp selling 58-65k ish after the initial hype. That is still a huge number though.

I'm a Ford truck guy and I couldn't afford half of one of those AT4s, but that's a good looking vehicle.

I thought I saw 2018 numbers that the average note was about 66 months.

I like it but the price is ridiculous. I thought about buying at 2020 model at Christmas and just couldn't stand to pay that much. Plus I knew these were going to be big improvements.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...the car lending market is in a bubble that's about ready to pop

Depends on options, but the half ton AT4 Sierras are $65K+ MSRP if you go fully loaded, so I'd expect the Yukon to be much more than $70k.

While I agree, we've been saying this since 2014. Subprime auto lending is a huge piece of the industry.

Three issues there. One, people like their cars a lot more than their rent houses and will keep up payments longer. Two, cars are mobile and easy to repossess when compared to a foreclosure - then they're easy to transport to where capital will pay for them.... and these people will simply go get another car from a tote-the-note place. Three, there's much less interaction with other markets from the failure to pay notes.

So even if a bubble does pop, it'll likely be contained (which is good).

So, only with traction off and in low friction conditions and pedal to the floor? Seems really useful.

Or a novelty the will likely cause problems. In my experience, GM can't make a truck that doesn't have random things like door actuators fail after 5 or 6 years of normal use.

Shoot with these cars pushing 100k, why not a 30 year like a mortgage

https://www.npr.org/2019/10/31/773409100/the-7-year-car-loan-watch-your-wallet
Of all auto loans, 7 year loans are 31% of the total, 8+ years being 1.5% of total.
