They wouldn't be legally allowed to sell it if it didn't meet spec, I just think its REALLY interesting that a Silicon Valley tech giant is selling branded motor oil.WP69 said:
PQIA says it meets API certifications and grade. They are accepted "testers". It's blended by Warren Distribution. They blend a lot of independent brands and are a quality blender, it's generally considered quality if they bottle it.

Not so sure what is surprising about it. I guarantee you theyvhave data that shows them most people aren't brand loyal when it comes to oil, it has a good enough mark up, there are only a handful of skus that they need to stock, and it is ripe for a subscribe and save model.
That data is why it is so dangerous to have a hit product on Amazon. Get good enough and they will come out with an Amazon basics to undercut you.
Amazon is based in Seattle, not silicon valley. And they sell branded evvvvverything. Phone chargers, batteries, t shirts, tighty whities, u name it. Will be the only serious competitor Wally World has ever faced.WaltonBlanks08 said:

From that video, it looks like the Amazon oil is Mobil 1 rebranded. Looks and performs almost exactly that same.TxSquarebody said:
It's not rebranded. I can't find a virgin oil analysis for the particular oils in the video, but other Mobil 1 and matching Amazon weights and classifications don't have the same additive package. There are several ways a formulator can meet the SAE specs.Martin Q. Blank said:TxSquarebody said:
