'11 boost has 165k on the odometer. CEL came on last night and I would like to read the codes. I know I could run down to Napa and get them read but with the mileage I assume I'll be needing it more and more in the future. Anyone have recs? Bluetooth or hard cable? Not looking to break the bank.

I keep a $16 scanner from amazon in each of my cars. Gives you the code and a short description. Allows allows you to clear codes.

I think a bluetooth dongle is much better. Can use OBD Fusion (iOS) or Torque Pro (Android) to do far more than pull codes (run basic fuel trim logs, etc.).

I use a dongle and Torque App for the Navigator. Love that little thing.
