Getting a new truck today as my 2008 Chevrolet Silverado is no longer reliable. With a new kid I'd like the extra room in the back seats that tundra and Ford provide.

Lots of dealerships have 2018 fords marked down 9 -12k and will get better gas milage than the Tundra or should I stay clear of Ford and go with Tundra. Cant make up my damn mind

Worst thing about my Tundra: no remote start and nothing breaks so I have no excuse to replace. 180k miles with only a few batteries, two door lock actuators I changed myself and a water pump.

What are you looking for in a truck? Tundra is basic no frills, low tech truck that just works and doesn't break. Ford has bells and whistles but mine was the shop a lot...which is why I have a tundra.

If you want to save cash up front and get a few more bells and whistles get a Ford.

If you want longevity and and to save cash in the long run get the Tundra.

Curious about the problems with the Chevy, if you don't mind telling.

Forgot about the KO2s. Most expensive thing by far.

Ahhh, one of the AFM engines.

Too bad you didn't follow the AB's advice and shut it down.

I went from a Ford to a Tundra. No comparison IMO. I think you made the right choice.

I'd be in on a Toyota half ton if they'd put a GD standard bed instead of a short bed on a crew cab.

That's what it is in this case.

Wheels and tires, decals, floor mats and blacked out mirrors.

Is that an upgrade decision made by the dealer? I thought they just came with the black or chrome Toyota rims and BFG's in addition to the blacked out badges.

As someone once told me...they only thing bad about that tundra is having to pull over to smack the shut out of your kids in the backseat when they are misbehaving.

Because there is no way you are getting all the way to them in the back seat from the front seat with the size of it.

Nice truck and congrats

I was thinking about that the other day in my truck. Wish they would have kept the sliding rear bench seat
