Why do you need a supercharger if the 5.7 tows the space shuttle?

So you can tow the space shuttle faster
Make sure you have the trailer brake package, though. Everyone knows that it's not the going that's a problem, it's the stopping, and you'll need those space shuttle brakes when you're on a slope.
I'd say it's worth the money if you can get a good quality unit off of ebay for cheap and install it yourself. The HP gain wasn't nearly as large on the Tacoma as it was on the Tundra. I think it puts the Tacoma at approximately 300 hp. I haven't really read up on the Tacoma systems or the reliability of supercharged Tacomas, but I've definitely seen high mileage units for sale. I do know that the tacoma used an older Eaton supercharger, maybe an M90 or M122. The Tundra used a newer TVS 1900.azulAg said:
would you recommend getting one for a Tacoma or is it just a waste of money ?
