I have no idea how this happened. This is on the C pillar of the driver's side of my G37. This is not a surface level scratch...this has depth and looks like it could have punctured all the way through the metal. Measures about 3.5 inches across. There were some storms last week, but I don't know of anything Mother Nature threw our way that would have caused this. It looks like maybe someone hit the car with a heavy object.
I looked at the rest of the car to find more damage, and it looks like a bird was picking away at the weather stripping around the sunroof. This was the day after the storm.
The sunroof thing I know is fixable for a "relatively" low cost...but what about the body damage?
What am I looking at here?
