Here are the first 2 build threads:
This one details the supercharger installation
This one details conversion from manual to 4L60e
The last part of the auto swap details some issues that I was having at the track where I would run out of fuel midway through the run. Well, even though I didnt have that issue again later in the year, it appears that the damage was done. I first recognized it as excessive blowby around new years eve. There was oil coming out of the BOV. After further checking, I had low compression in #1 cylinder. After disassemble and pulling the motor, i discovered my fears were true: Busted ring land on #1 piston.
So now I'm building a forged motor and planning lots of other upgrades as well. More details to follow, just getting this thread started for now.
Mods:
1. Remachine my aluminum LS6 block, using stock crank (good to 1000rwhp), K1 forged rods, Wiseco forged pistons, AP gapless rings, tool steel wrist pins, ARP main studs, ARP head studs.
2. Howards Cam for boost: 236/250, .625/.625, 115 LSA
3. Fix the fuel system: Twin Walbro 450's in the tank, 142# injectors, -08AN lines to the fuel rail, Holley Boost referenced fuel pressure regulator and -06AN return line. Should be good for 1000+whp on e85.
4. Attempt to convert my Gen III PCM to a flex fuel PCM. This involves taking a PCM from an '05 Van, adding a flex fuel sensor in the return line, and lots of magic in HP Tuners.
5. Pulley down??? May go from a 3.33 to a 3.125.
