Just finished up my "100k mile service" I ordered the race pipe and EZ LYNK tuner with PPEI tuner. Install and tune took about an hour. The tuner connects to your phone allowing you to monitor gauges. Easy to do by yourself. 1 hard bolt to get at on the downpipe. Drives totally different than stock sounds good, not very different in the cab but way different outside without being obnoxious. Currently running the Stock HP tune, but there are several tunes that come with the tuner up to 200HP.

Tips and Tricks:
Unbolt exhaust hangars from frame, then take it off exhaust once it's on the ground.

Have a wobbler socket to make things easy

Have a floor jack to catch dpf assembly as it's about 100#

Unplug all sensors at the frame before lowering and use the jack to lower slowly because there are a couple that are difficult to reach with assembly in place.

Once dpf is out the new pipe takes no time to drop right in.

Cool. I plan on doing that to a 2011. How did you determine which brand you were going to delete with?

The pipe is all the same so price wins there

Seems like EZ LYNK is the tuner of choice. Can get tunes for several different tuners on it. A guy that works for me used it so I played with it and liked it. If I sell it I can return to stock then buy a tune for a 17+ if I upgrade trucks. Also nice to be able to use my phone instead of a clunky guage screen.

I had this set-up on my '08:

XRT Pro
Edge CTS
Exhaust with MBRP muffler
EGR block-offs
S&B CAI

The pipe had bungs so I put the sensors back in. The first guy that did an MVI looked it over pretty good and commented that it would fool most people.

My best economy was on a 250 hp tune.
It ran like a raped ape. I regret (a good bit) selling it.

Yeah I hear the higher HP gives the best mpg but I don't trust myself running that.

So did you keep the stock muffler and tailpipe?

Asking for a friend.

Me? No...the buyer took it. I'm sure he still has it. I can check.

I always thought EFI was the cats meow. Not Anymore? Tuning with your i-"gadet" is pretty neat. Plus all the in-dash mods out there are pretty neat.

Got the Edge CTS and MBRP muffler on my 06 LBZ. I keep it stock tuned for the sake of tire life, plus I get a knock at idle when on performance.

Was asking the OP.

I hear rumors that DPS does random checks now and then on trucks to verify emissions equipment.

if anyone comes accross a junk one ill take it off your hands for free. If they really keep looking my plan was to core one out so there was no baffles or anything but would look right from the outside

So you changed the muffler and tailpipe as well?

Well until you get the turbo spooled up....

It is crazy how good these trucks are insulated, can only get a good listen at mine next to a wall or riding in another vehicle. But yeah, all the way spooled up with the 4in pipes and Ford tip is pretty dang loud.

So OEM muffler/tailpipe still present, so it 'looks' stock...

Pulling a trailer with a straight piped 6.7 is not something I care to do again. A whole lot of drone.

The extra power is fun though

Yes unless you look where the dpf/cat was.

They got me on the visual inspection in Bexar County. Had to find a slightly dumber inspector across town.

The following year, while living in Travis County, but still registered in Bexar County, I got it inspected near my work in Williamson County. Just checked lights, took my money, and passed me. I don't get it.
