So, yesterday I noticed that when I first got into my car there was a puff of whitish (like condensation or something) air came out of all the vents immediately as I started the car. It had a chemical like odor. After that initial burst of air the condensation hasn't returned but there has been a continuous odor. It is definitely worse when I first start the car, but it seems to be there continuously.

Any thoughts on what is causing this? Any idea about what that odor is and whether or not it is unhealthy?

The AC seems to be working (this of course is the weird time of year in which I am using both the hot and cold air, both seem to work).

The car is not new.

there has not been any work done on it and no collisions or anything lately.

Its a 2009 GMC sierra quad-cab

TIA

Has your coolant level been mysteriously dropping recently?

If it smells like coolant, likely a leaking heater core.
