A tropical low pressure system will begin moving into Texas Thursday or Friday, per current forecasts. These events can bring enormous amounts of rain, millions of dollars in property can be destroyed as a result. If you park your vehicles in the following areas, consider moving them to higher ground to prevent damage:

• along creeks and rivers
• along any man made drainage areas
• along any slow draining low areas
• along streets, or in parking lots, with poor drainage
• Houston

Also: TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN.

All good here, water on the street but the storm drains are doing a good job.

West side of our subdivision has some standing water, but nothing anywhere near my place.

BCS is good so far. Forecast is for us to get some heavier rain tonite.

I really hope flatout's garage is significantly elevated

I headed into Baytown tonight to check on my parent's place and RACETRUCK. I came across a video showing very high water on their street.

No water got into their house and I moved RACETRUCK to higher ground. I just got back into Galveston where my neighborhood is high & dry.

Vehicles are object that can be replaced, but they are also one of our most expensive possessions. My thoughts go out to all of you that have lost your means of transportation.
